Why Tokyo?
Tokyo, a place where the past meets the future
While Tokyo is indeed a bustling hub of the future, its connection to traditional Japan perseveres, creating a unique landscape where the past and future live in harmony. Among Tokyo’s streets, it is not uncommon to find centuries old shrines beside high rise apartment buildings. As you move past the city’s borders, the densely packed buildings give way to the countryside, revealing the cherished nature that people have coexisted with for generations.

Wonderful experience for kids and adults! It's one of a kind art gallery with interactive installations. For some though, you'll need to arm yourself with patience, as the waiting time can reach 1 hour.
T's Tantan
T's Tantan is a part of T’s restaurant from Jiyugaoka in Tokyo and offers Tantan noodles and a variety of other vegan dishes overflowing with richness and flavor and full of delightful surprises. No meat, seafood, dairy products, eggs or other animal byproducts are used.

My experience
One of the most delicious ramen on earth (statement of a ramen lover). The queue is always long but it's worth waiting - the seasame based broth is very rich and creamy. Expect a seasonal menu whenever you visit. Also, you can buy different versions of cup ramen from their menu to treat yourself at home.
Ghibli Museum
Ghibli Museum is the animation and art museum of Miyazaki Hayao's Studio Ghibli, one of Japan's most famous animation studios. You may know their most popular films, such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Ponyo.
Address
1-1-83 Shimorenjaku, Mitaka-shi, Tokyo 181-0013
My experience
If you are a Ghibli fan, this is a 'must-go' for you. All the charm of Miyazaki's movies gathered in one place. The only con is that the catbus is a child-only attraction ;)
